TEHRAN The daily Jomhouri Eslami in its editorial, U.S., Main Sponsor of International Terrorism Sunday quoting an American analyst said, Iran is the chief victim of terrorism. The same analyst has said that the U.S. charges against Iran are baseless. The U.S. State Department recently issued a statement accusing the Islamic Republic of Iran of sponsoring terrorism during the last year.
Ironically the Zionist regime is not in the list of the U.S. list of sponsors of terrorism. The open support of Vice-President Algore of Israel for the next 50 years indicates that this country will back all crimes and terroristic acts committed by Israel throughout the years to come. Referring to the press as a costly and make-or-break industry, the daily Iran in its commentary wrote that the press plays a fundamental role in scientific, cultural, and social development of a society.
People's reliance on the press has increased in the recent years, so time is ripe for the press to make itself a capable and efficient industry in the society. The daily went on to write that galloping rise in the prices of paper, publication, and distribution has undermined the efficacy of the press in a country with a population of 60 million.
The daily Afarinesh in its editorial wrote that last Friday people from Tehran and other cities attended the funeral of 1,500 martyrs of the imposed war. These funeral services remind us of the memories of our people's endeavor and devotion in the past to preserve their beliefs, territorial integrity, and political independence. In fact, they impart a message to us to revive our commitment to the martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the sake of protecting the country against the enemies of the revolution.
